Food for the Poor
St Jerome Catholic Church
After a well deserved summer break, the St. Jerome Chorale will begin its new season at the 10:45 Mass on Sunday, September 12th. The choir is gearing up for a very active year and is already planning for the Christmas Concert which will be held on Friday, December 17th in the church.
Our music ministry always welcomes new members to the Chorale, as well as to all of our St. Jerome musical ensembles: Handbell Choir, Cantabile (Junior Choir), Contemporary Ensemble, Spirit Singers (Children’s choir), and Life-Teen Band. For more information, contact Tom Kurt.
We welcome Kristina Fessler to the
St. Jerome Catechetical Staff.
Kristina is a graduate student in the
Echo Program at the University of Notre Dame.
Over the next two years, Kristina will be completing a field study as an Apprentice Catechetical Leader as she earns her Master's Degree in Theology. She will be ministering in the areas of Faith Formation, Sacramental Preparation, the RCIA and Youth Ministry. The apprenticeship will enable her to develop skills, insights and capacities she will need to help promote the catechetical mission of the Catholic Church.
We are very excited that Kristina is joining us.
The Office Worship of the Diocese of St. Petersburg is holding workshops for Readers and Eucharistic Ministers. The workshop will discuss the practical aspects of carrying out these ministries and answer any questions. We encourage all Readers and EM’s, both new and experienced to attend these workshops. If you are able to attend, please contact your ministry head and let them know. The dates and times are as follows.
Friday, September 23 6:45 PM Incarnation Parish, Tampa
Saturday, September 25 8:30 AM Light of Christ Parish, Clearwater
Saturday, September 25 8:30 AM Joan of Arc Parish, Spring Hill
