Liturgical Ministries

Readers

Readers proclaim the Word of God at liturgical celebrations.

The Congregation relies on the ability of readers to proclaim the Word of God in a manner that is clear, inspiring and worthy. Meetings are held at various times throughout the year to help inspire and increase the skill and knowledge of readers

Please call the Parish Office 727-595-4610 if interested in becoming a reader.

Ushers

Ushers greet parishioners on arrival in the Church at the weekend Masses, seat them as the occasion arises, assist disabled persons, take up collections, direct parishioners at Communion time and distribute bulletins as parishioners leave.

Volunteers are always needed. Call Jack McGlone at the Parish Office 727-595-4610.

Greeters

At the weekend Masses, parishioners who arrive to pay homage to the Lord are welcomed at the entrances of the Chirch with a warm greeting and friendly smile.

More greeters are always welcome. Contact Mary Wells at the parish office 727-595-4610 to become a greeter.

Sacristan

Sacristans are entrusted with the care and preparation of Liturgies, the Sacred Vessels, Sacred Books and Altar Linens for the various celebrations, as well as maintaining the Sacristy to be organized, peaceful and dignified.

St Jerome's sacristan, Joanne Biamonte, welcomes volunteers to assist in this sacred ministry.

If interested in assisting in sacristan duties, please call Joanne Biamonte at 727-595-4610

Liturgy Committee

The Liturgy Committee is a group of involved parishioners who assist the priests and staff in planning the liturgical seasons and other general concerns to ensure the vitality of the liturgy.
