Dear Friends:
I thank you for reading our new “Sharing Faith Blog.” This blog is dedicated to having parishioners share a reflection concerning something about their faith or sharing a reflection regarding a reading from the Liturgy of the Word for Sunday Mass. I thank Marianne Scott for her reflection on the 2nd reading from Mass on January 28, 2018, (1 Corinthians 7:32-35).
Respectfully yours in Christ,
Fr. Tom Morgan
Pastor
Hi, my name is Marianne Scott. My husband and I have been members
of St. Jerome Church for about 40 years and we love our parish.
I would like to comment on the 2nd Reading for the Mass of Jan 28th. It is from 1 Cor 7:32-35.
As a married woman and a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 7, there are
so many things that occupy my mind each day! But I know that basically,
if what I do will serve and honor the Lord, then I don't have to "sweat
the small stuff" - all I really have to do is pray for guidance each morning
and then trust the Holy Spirit to lead me.
