Baptism for Children

BAPTISM CLASSES and
Introduction to Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

We rejoice with our families who have recently been blessed with the birth or adoption of a child or are anticipating the birth of a newborn.

We have begun monthly Baptism Classes on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30PM in the Parish Office conference room. Families are requested to call the parish office at (727) 595-4610 to register for the class.

In addition, we would also like to arrange for a tour of our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Toddler Atrium and other Atriums. Information will be provided at the Baptism Class itself.

The dates of our Baptism Classes for this year are listed below:
  • April 11, 2023 at 6:30pm
  • May 9, 2023 at 6:30pm
  • June 13, 2023 at 6:30pm
  • July 11, 2023 at 6:30pm
  • August 8, 2023 at 6:30pm

Choosing godparents:

Parents should choose godparents for their children who are practicing Catholics, at least 16 years of age, and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. If married, the godparent must be married in the Catholic Church or had their marriage blessed (convalidated) by the Catholic Church.
“Baptism incorporates us into Christ and forms us
into God’s people”
