Baptism for ChildrenBAPTISM CLASSES and
Introduction to Catechesis of the Good Shepherd We rejoice with our families who have recently been blessed with the birth or adoption of a child or are anticipating the birth of a newborn. Families that are interested in getting their child Baptized are requested to call the parish office at (727) 595-4610 or [email protected] to register for the class. In addition, we would also like to arrange for a tour of our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Toddler Atrium and other Atriums. Information will be provided at the Baptism Class itself. Choosing godparents: Parents should choose godparents for their children who are practicing Catholics, at least 16 years of age, and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. If married, the godparent must be married in the Catholic Church or had their marriage blessed (convalidated) by the Catholic Church. “Baptism incorporates us into Christ and forms us
into God’s people” (Christian Initiation, General Introduction, 2) |
